Life360 is a location tracking app. It uses wi-fi, gps, and cell phone network for location. I downloaded this app to help keep track of my family members when they are out and about. Life360 was free to download from the Google play store. It takes about seven megabytes of space depending on the device it is installed on. It can also be moved to the sd card. The app has to be installed on each device being tracked. It was easy to install and set up.
I used the app for about three weeks to be sure to give it a fair test. the app has a lot of useful features. One feature shows the location of hospitals and police stations. Another feature is the sex offender locater, this shows the where registered sex offenders live. although it seemed useful at first, knowing where all the sex offenders are gave me anxiety more than it helped me. With Life360 You can set a location for your family members. Once the location is set the app will alert you when a family member leaves or arrives at the set location.
After using this app for a while I realized that the location of my family members was way off. There is no way to control how the app locates your family member, and the app can be disabled easily if you didn't want to be found. I didn't like these major fallbacks to what could be a good app to keep track of your children. I do recommend trying the app for yourself but be aware of it's fallbacks.
